Book #24: Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle by Betty MacDonald

I loved this book as a kid. I'm pretty sure I read all of the sequels as well. I read it with Dane, and he really enjoyed it. I don't know that he really understood all of the individual stories, but he did get the main themes. This book definitely is more aimed at older kids. I loved reading this as an adult because all of the "sicknesses" the kids have--Back Talkitis, Fighter-Quarreleritis, etc.--are real things, and the solutions that Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has are always to let the kids go to a super-extreme and see how obnoxious those habits are. The solutions are so common-sense and you can see why they would work--and some of them are probably actually applicable to real life.
