The Moving Finger by Agatha Christie

This is the fourth Miss Marple mystery, although it doesn't really qualify as a Miss Marple story. She doesn't show up in the story until the last hour (of the six!) and barely is involved at all. Part of the charm of Miss Marple's mysteries is Miss Marple herself, and there definitely wasn't much of her in this story. However, this mystery was still enjoyable in its own right. It's about Jerry Burton and his sister Joanna, who go to the "quiet country" to help Jerry recover from his wounds from an aviation accident, but they find out that the quiet country life isn't as quiet as they think it is. Some nasty anonymous letters start going around and making people angry, and soon there are bigger crimes of suicide and murder happening. I really liked the characters of Jerry and Joanna (mostly--Jerry did a few obnoxiously chauvinistic things that were annoying), and their funny relationship, and Christie really kept me guessing with who the murderer was--I was suspecting the eventual love interest at the end. Overall, this village cozy mystery was funny and a great audiobook to listen to and keep me engaged.
